About Untrammelled Travels

Untrammelled Travels stemmed from the authors struggles in finding detailed information on local overland routes and lesser-known backcountry routes in British Columbia, Canada.  While plenty of information exists on overlanding the Mojave Road or hiking Joffre Lakes, British Columbia is blessed with a near infinite number of logging roads and alpine areas that are unwritten about.

Exploring these areas on your own is half the experience and we encourage everyone with the necessary skill set to explore these areas without a predetermined route.  However, if you're new to overlanding or backcountry, solely have a long weekend to get out an create a memorable experience, or have young kids that can't spend hours on end bushwacking or attempting unknown logging roads, the routes contained within this site are for you.
